New Orleans Saints Announce Roster Cuts
by Saintsational on Sep 5, 2009
The Times-Picaune has just released the full list of New Orleans Saints players who were cut today. Including Joey Harrington and Adrian Arrington, whose names were released earlier today.
Should the Browns pick up Joey Harrington?
I think he'd be a great fit for the Browns. Just think about Harrington's strengths and think about the Browns' personnel. Its the perfect situation for him. (No I'm not high or anything, I just thought about it and I know it won't happen but if I was the Browns I'd bring him in and at least try him out with the 1st team offense in practice). Harrington has spent most of his career throwing passes with poor blocking and defensive linemen flying at him, and I'm sure he's got some more experience after more time in the NFL and now that everyone doesn't expect him to save a team (which was really way too much to expect of anyone). What do they have to lose? They have some other issues than QB so I think you could certainly make a strong case for drafting franchise players elsewhere and wait a year or two before drafting a new quarterback.

The new Detroit Lions football team has a first year quarterback. It's the arm that separates Stafford from Joey Harrington, Andre Ware, Chuck Long and all the other failed first-round draft picks in Detroit's franchise.
